Lidmaatskap
Die jaarlikse lidmaatskapfooi is op aanvraag beskikbaar en is in Oktober betaalbaar en geld vir die daaropvolgende kalenderjaar. Benewens lidmaatskap van Stellenbosch Rolbalklub, sluit dit ook die volgende uit: –
- Registrasie by en lidmaatskap van Rolbal Suid Afrika (BSA) waarby alle klubs landswyd ge-afillieer is. Met ‘n BSA nommer kan lede aan BSA nasionale kompetisies deelneem en as gaste rolbal speel by enige van honderde klubs dwarsoor die land.
- Registrasie by en lidmaatskap van Westelik Provinsie Rolbalassosiasie (WPB). WPB is die streek van BSA waaronder die klub resorteer en met lidmaatskap kan die klub aanspraak maak op sekere dienste en ons spelers aan WPB kompetisies deelneem.
Lidmaatskapfooie verminder pro-rata soos die jaar aangaan.
Variasies van lidmaatskapfooie behels: –
- Afslag op klubfooie vir studente en skoliere.
- Rolbalspelers van ander klubs kan as dubbellidmaat aansluit teen ‘n verlaagde fooi.
Lede betaal tans R25 vir sosiale spel wat elke Dinsdag, Donderdag-en Saterdagmiddag van 14h00 tot 17h00 gespeel word. Dit sluit ‘n baanfooi en tee, koffie of ‘n koeldrank in. Besoekers betaal R30.
Lede wat nuut by die klub aansluit, word aangemoedig om eers gratis rolbalafrigring te ondergaan met balle wat voorsien word ten einde seker te maak dat die persoon eers die spel onder die knie kry en ‘n ingeligte besluit geneem kan word oor die tipe en grootte balle wat die beste pas. Gewoonlik is 4 tot 5 afrigtingsessies van 1 uur elk voldoende. Die klub beskik oor gekwalifiseerde afrigters.
Membership
The annual membership fee is available on request and is payable in October and is valid for the following calendar year. In addition to joining Stellenbosch Bowling Club, it excludes: –
- Registration with and membership of Bowls South Africa (BSA) where all clubs are nationally recognised. With a BSA number, members can participate in BSA national competitions and play as guests at any of the hundreds of clubs across the country.
- Registration and membership of Western Province Bowls Association (WPB). WPB is the region of BSA under which the club resides and with membership the club can claim certain services and our players participate in WPB competitions.
Membership fees reduce pro rata within the year dependent on the date of joining.
Variations of membership fees include: –
- Discount on club fees for seniors, students and scholars.
- Players from other clubs can join as a duel member at a reduced fee.
Members currently pay R25 for social play, played every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoon from 14h00 to 17h00. This includes the greens fee and tea, coffee or a cold drink. Visitors pay R30.
Members joining the club are encouraged to first undergo free coaching with bowling balls provided, to ensure that the person first fully understands the game and can make an informed decision about the type and size of bowling balls that suits them the best. Usually 4 to 5 coaching sessions of 1 hour each are sufficient. The club has qualified coaches who will assist with the choice of bowling balls, explain the rules/etiquette and how to play.
Fasiliteit vir sosiale geleenthede
Die Stellenbosch Rolbalklub is ideaal geleē en ingerig om buitegroepe te ontvang vir spanbou-aksies, vergaderings en konferensies op Woensdae en Vrydae.
Sessies kan ingerig word oor ‘n oggend/middag of middag/aand-periode, en sluit gewoonlik ‘n uur of meer op die rolbalbaan in, om gevolg te word deur samesyn en saamkuier wat gewoonlik ‘n ete insluit.
Geriewe sluit in die perke vir speeldoeleindes, konferensie- en sosiale geriewe, braaifasiliteite, balle, kroegbemanning en klublede wat rigting gee met die spelery. Die kroeg is beskikbaar en beskik oor al die nodige.
Daar is ‘n bepaalde prys vasgestel vir die gebruik van die geriewe, wat aangepas word volgens die getalle wat betrokke is. Navrae kan gerig word, verkieslik per e-pos, aan Karin Burger by karinburger1@gmail.com
Venue for social functions
The Stellenbosch Bowling Club is ideally situated to receive outside groups for conferences, team-building opportunities and meetings on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Sessions take place either during mornings and afternoons, or afternoons and evenings, and normally include a period of playing, to be followed by a social get-together, drinks and/or meeting.
Facilities include the playing fields, conference, social and braai facilities, bowls, as well as members of the club to assist with playing techniques and manning the bar. The bar consists of all the necessary.
There is a price connected to the hiring of the facilities, which is adapted according to the numbers. Enquiries can be directed to Karin Burger at karinburger1@gmail.com
